This is CAA's design scheme for Qingdao Campus of Central Academy of Fine Arts in China. The campus is facing the sky and the blue sea, forming the whole West Coast Art Bay area with the “TAG Art Museum” building group designed by Jean Nouvel. The planning concept is a "Free Wave", where the entire complex seems to rise gracefully from the wilderness, forming an organism growing towards the sea and like a frozen frame of the wave moving forward, creating a dialogue with the Bay area and the wider ocean, and striking a balance among nature, site, sea, architecture, education, and people.
