Liliarium is a temporary garden designed and built for Temps de Flors 2012, 57th Exhibition of Flowers, Monuments, Patios and Gardens in Girona (Spain).
The garden exhibits flowers of the botanical genus Lilium, evoking the aesthetics and symbolism of the Middle Ages.
Inspired by the different ways and spaces through which the plants have been the subject of exhibitions in the history (herbals, treatises, gardens of simples and botanical gardens) Liliarium garden comes to life by means a special perceptual construction. Fresh and dried or illustrated by prints and words lilies float  suspended in the space of the patio, creating echoes among the many appearances and textures of the flower.
The texts are taken from the Hortulus by Walafrid Strabo (808–849 AD), a poem on cultivation of a small garden in all practical aspects, with description of its plant species of which are praised the utility and the aesthetic beauty.
